Tokyo diaries: Cherry blossom viewing 2014

It's Spring!

Flowers are blooming everywhere (bring on allergic rhinitis) and it's a sure sign that the warmer days are coming. Every year, thousands throng to Japan for cherry blossom viewing or お花見. End March to the first 2 weeks of April are the best times to visit Tokyo, when the city is covered in a blanket of baby pink sakura. The locals come out to picnic and stores bring out their pink sakura themed products.
